For many of us, spending time with family<\/strong>, exchanging gifts<\/strong>, and enjoying the quiet moments of Advent<\/strong> are a natural part of the holiday season<\/strong>. For many children<\/strong> around the world \u2013 including those at the Araira orphanage in Venezuela \u2013 this is not always<\/strong> the case<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The children\u2019s home<\/strong> provides a safe<\/strong> and stable environment <\/strong>for children whose parents have passed away or are unable to care for them. Since late 2024, we have been in close contact with the home, which is led by Sister Maria Olga. She has been dedicated <\/strong>to supporting children<\/strong> since 2007 and continues her important work with remarkable commitment, even at over 80 years of age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although the children are cared for in a protected environment, financial resources<\/strong> at the home are very limited<\/strong>. Many everyday needs can only be met through external support. For special occasions like Christmas<\/strong>, there are often not enough funds<\/strong> to offer the children a festive day \u2013 a day that many families take for granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year, we hope to help create a joyful Christmas<\/strong> celebration for the children at the Araira orphanage.
