A Christmas Celebration for the Children at the Araira Orphanage

Together, we are raising funds for gifts and a festive holiday meal.

For many of us, spending time with family, exchanging gifts, and enjoying the quiet moments of Advent are a natural part of the holiday season. For many children around the world – including those at the Araira orphanage in Venezuela – this is not always the case.

The children’s home provides a safe and stable environment for children whose parents have passed away or are unable to care for them. Since late 2024, we have been in close contact with the home, which is led by Sister Maria Olga. She has been dedicated to supporting children since 2007 and continues her important work with remarkable commitment, even at over 80 years of age.

Although the children are cared for in a protected environment, financial resources at the home are very limited. Many everyday needs can only be met through external support. For special occasions like Christmas, there are often not enough funds to offer the children a festive day – a day that many families take for granted.

This year, we hope to help create a joyful Christmas celebration for the children at the Araira orphanage. With your donations, we aim to:

• provide a small Christmas gift for each child,
• organize a festive holiday meal,
• and support the home during this special season.
