At the beginning of the year, we traveled once again to the rural communities of Milagros and La Unión in Paya, Colombia, to capture the lives of the people through film alongside videographer Jacob. In addition to the filming, we carried out other important projects: the "Niñas Sabias" workshop for girls, as well as vision tests and the organization of glasses for students and teachers. During these two weeks, we were able to build meaningful connections and gain an even deeper understanding of the local community.

During our visit to Milagros, 25 girls had the opportunity to participate in the "Niñas Sabias" workshop—an initiative designed to educate them about the female body and strengthen their self-confidence. In an environment where menstruation is rarely discussed, they not only learned about the anatomy of their bodies but also came to see their period as a sign of health and strength. Through creative rituals, practical guidance, and open discussions, they were able to challenge myths and develop a new sense of self-awareness.

Thanks to our collaboration with Salud a la Escuela, vision tests for children in Milagros and La Unión were conducted for the first time. By the end of the day, it was clear that eight students and two teachers needed glasses. We are happy to support them in this. After all, good vision not only makes learning easier but also contributes to personal development!

Our planned documentary about life in the remote communities of La Unión and Milagros in Colombia is getting closer – but we need your support to make it happen. Since the end of 2024, we have been supporting an orphanage in Caracas, Venezuela, which is run by Sister Maria Olga. Currently, eight children aged between two and seventeen years find protection and security there. Thanks to your donations, we were able to install much-needed air conditioning units, making everyday life and nights easier for the children.

The Beldi Refuge animal shelter in Chefchaouen, founded by Leeny from Germany, provides shelter, medical care, and the chance for a new home to over 120 rescued stray dogs. However, financial resources are barely sufficient to cover food, treatments, and much-needed shelter. With your support, new dog huts can be built, offering the dogs a safe haven.

Improving the education of children in Paya and providing them with new opportunities is especially close to our hearts. Learn more about our collaboration with the schools and the successes we have already achieved.

Empowering Women, Breaking Taboos: At the Care4her Action Day in Koblenz, the focus was on women’s health, safety, and self-love. With over 200 tote bags filled with wellness products and invitations to exciting workshops, the event provided a valuable opportunity to have open conversations about important topics. Living in close connection with nature – this is exactly how the people in Paya, Colombia live. During our first trip, we were able to gather some impressions and learn more about the lifestyle and challenges faced by the local community.

Beldi Refuge is an animal shelter in Morocco founded by Leeny from Germany. Helping the dogs and financially supporting the volunteers in their work is not only a matter close to our hearts but also our very first project and, therefore, the beginning of our journey.

In Chefchaouen, Morocco, we met Yassin, a young man with a mobility impairment who lives with his family under difficult conditions. Thanks to your support, we were able to provide significant help to the family and make a new home possible for them.

In the heart of the Campeche forest, we found a young, frightened dog. With the support of kind strangers and a bit of luck, we were able to give Lola a new home and save her from a life on the streets.

What is taken for granted by us was a great wish for two men in Morocco: With a simple gesture, we were able to give Amin and Abdullah more mobility and independence. Learn more about their stories.
